The Fresh Life
At consignment boutique Fresh Kids, a customer might snag a child’s special holiday outfit and resell it after the party so another kid can wear it for a Christmas card photo.
“We love when we see things come back into our store, because it means that they’ve had a cycle of life with one kid and they’re ready for another family,” says Elizabeth Shaw, who runs the Calgary shop with business partner Caroline Frain.
As every parent knows, raising kids ain’t cheap. Sometimes it seems like they wear a piece of clothing once and they’ve already outgrown it before they can put it on again. If you’re like me, you probably have an item or two that’s been bought and never worn after getting forgotten in the back of the closet (oops).
But don’t despair (cue infomercial music) – there’s a solution to your troubles! Whether you have gently (or never) worn clothing items you’d like to recoup some money from, or you’re tired of paying full price for clothing your kid will wear once, consignment stores have got your back. We’ve got a list of six great consignment stores in Calgary to help you save (and earn!) money on your kid’s’ clothing to help take a bit of the sting out of their next growth spurt.

Here are 6 fashion tips to help you make the transition from summer fresh to fall fresh in a flash. (Say that 5 times fast..)
Bacon sizzling in a cast iron pan, coffee brewing, bathing suits, floppy hats, sunscreen, sand between the toes (and everywhere else), waterskiing, napping in the sunshine, roasting marshmallows, running in the evening shadows with siblings and cousins. Lake life...there's nothing quite like it.
With small kids in tow, packing for the lake can be an ordeal. The back of the mini-van overflowing. Coming home and finding that you packed WAY too much stuff once again. Packing. Unpacking. Repeat.
We met the dynamic duo behind Fresh Kids for coffee last weekend but, really, who needs caffeine with these energetic ladies in the room.
Our very first muse feature and lucky for us, we found 2 for the price of 1! Caroline and Jenny are the genius sister team behind Fresh Kids Inc., selling pre-loved baby, kids and maternity clothing and gear.
